Köprülü Canyon National Park:
This event takes place in Köprülü Canyon National Park, named after the Köprü River, which flows through it. The park is located in the Taurus Mountains and is a popular destination for tourists. The fresh mountain air here attracts guests who want to escape the hot sun of the coast on summer days. Even on cloudy days, the green forest and peaceful atmosphere make the experience relaxing.
Rafting is one of the most exciting and unforgettable tours, with many guests returning for another rafting experience during subsequent visits. However, it is important to note that people with disabilities, cardiovascular or respiratory problems, back issues, and pregnant women are not allowed to participate in rafting.
The difficulty level of rafting is Class 1 and 2, which means even children as young as 4 years old can join the tour. Children sit in the middle of the raft next to the instructor or their parents, with their legs secured under special ropes. Rafts are equipped with many ropes, including those on the sides of the raft, allowing adults to hold on to them as well.
Professional instructors with years of experience provide necessary training for beginners and explain safety rules. Then, guests are divided into groups of 10-14 people, and rafting equipment is distributed. Everyone takes a seat on the raft. Those who are more experienced and confident can sit on two-seater kayaks for an even more adrenaline-filled experience. The best clothing for rafting is shorts and a T-shirt. Most shoes will come off when they get wet, so special rubber rafting shoes can be purchased for an additional fee (optional).
Rafting begins in a section with mild water currents so that all participants can get used to the equipment, the raft, and paddles. The team also learns to work together in harmony. After a while, sections with steeper turns and thresholds begin. As you pass through these areas, water splashes on your body and face, your heart races, and your body fills with adrenaline. The total length of the rafting route is 14 km, with several short stops along the way to catch your breath.
After a delicious lunch, you will have free time to swim, and you can purchase photos taken by a professional photographer.
